Garfield is now standing on a ladder, building a two-foot high sandwich before going on with the story. A waiting Odie is in agony! Several characters have eaten the spaghetti of doom and are now fast asleep: Eddie Gourmand, Liz and... the smart but always starving cat. The animals of the forest decide to go and fetch a wizard to save him. Mildred races them to Dr. Ponkers as Merl. He advises Arlen to give Garfield a true-love kiss. Back to life, Garfield leads them all to the castle: a blue bird has told them that Prince Jon was locked in the tower! A parade of animals force their way into the castle. Squeak and the mice scare the guards. Odie wakes Eddie up with a slurp. But Dr. Whipple, Aunt Ivy and Al the Dogcatcher are trying to escape! Fortunately, Garfield catapults them through the air and all's well that ends well: Prince Jon marries Elizabeth and lived happily ever after. But has actually Garfield read it all from the book? wonders Odie.
